Alexandra Pearson is Presence’s Newest Happiness Expert

There have been a lot of exciting changes at Presence recently, and we’d like to introduce one of our newest additions to our amazing team: Alexandra (Alex) Pearson!

Today is Alex’s first day and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her as part of the team aka family (we’re a pretty close knit group of humans).

Alex was born and raised in Florida, and spent half of her life growing up in Spain. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rollins College and earned a master’s degree in Higher Education at the University of Central Florida. A fun fact about Alex is that she’s traveled to 26 countries! ✈️

We’re excited to learn more about Alex’s experiences, excitement for life, and skill set while working closely with her (we hope our campus partners are excited too)! Keep reading to learn about what what drove her to higher education technology company and what excites Alex.

Let’s learn a little bit about why Alex is excited to be a part of the Presence team:

I’m excited to be part of a startup tech company with a unique culture and family atmosphere. I’m excited to help in developing something new and creating a shift within higher education and student engagement. I want to look back and know that I was part of making this awesome thing happen!

Alex’s position as a Happiness Expert is determined to provide campus partners with a successful on-boarding and user-friendly experience in using the Presence software. The Happiness Team is dedicated to helping student affairs professionals obtain provide real-time data analytics and assessment to make their jobs easier. Our Director of Happiness, Mike Janofsky, is excited to have a partner in crime as he develops more relationships with new college and university campus partners.

Having previous work in residential life, fraternity and sorority life, international programming, and leadership programming, it’s no wonder Alex wanted to apply her vast knowledge and skills at a growing startup company! Alex is passionate about diversity and social justice movements and that shows up in her work in her love for volunteering: two of her interests include ending hunger and homelessness.

When I asked Alex what she like to do outside of work, I was met with a long (organized) list of activities that she truly enjoys and sparks her curiosity. From indoor intensity cycling to developing flavor profiles of wine tastings and breweries to hammering away at Habitat builds, Alex’s passions are a compilation of so many adventures she can find here in St. Petersburg, Florida.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Alex with us! Connect with her on LinkedIn and Twitter to give her a warm welcome.
