Presence Teammates, We Appreciate You

Today is Employee Appreciation Day.

I think that means that someone, somewhere, wants us to set aside some time to appreciate the people who help turn the dream into a reality. But the truth is, we should be appreciating the people who we work with every single day.

Here at Presence, we foster a culture of appreciation and recognition a few different ways. At our weekly company stand-ups (quick meetings) we offer kudos to people who have done cool things in the past week. We also have an MVP of the week — someone, nominated by anyone else at the company, who has truly gone above and beyond. We have a kudos channel in our Slack system, where people can recognize their teammates for the little things that make a big difference.

How to use Slack kudos

In short, we try to keep the appreciation going all year long, not just on one hashtag holiday.

Still, we’re going to appreciate everyone a little extra today.

Each of the team leaders has written something for the folks on their team to remind them that they’re appreciated and valued. So, without further ado — Presence team, this one’s for you.
