Introducing Our Campus Outreach Coordinator: Mike Shaheen

It’s been an incredibly busy year at Presence so far! 2015 was a special year because of the great people we added to our team.

With that we’re excited to announce and introduce you to new bunch of awesome humans including Campus Outreach Coordinator, Mike Shaheen!

Like a few others at Presence, Mike hails from New England, specifically from the Granite State. Prior to joining our team, Mike attended Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts where he spent his time as a student leader – two of his favorite activities were his responsibilities as SGA Vice President and the Campus Activities Board chairperson. Mike’s claim to fame is being part of a Survival Challenge based on the show Survivor, where he competed against people who have previously been on the show.

Outside of his time spent as a Resident Assistant, working at the on-campus library, turtle sitter, Alternative Spring Breaker, and campus radio DJ role, he enjoyed spending his time practicing crossfit (and still does). He may not be as an avid health nut as colleague Lindsay Murdock, but he makes sure not to miss a box jump after work.

The Campus Outreach Coordinator focuses on relationship-building and communication with institutions who are interested and could benefit from Check I’m Here’s complete campus engagement platform. Most often, they consult with administrators and student leaders on campuses across the country (and the world) about obstacles like assessment, retention, and how to best engage students on campus. We’re proud to say Mike is joining a team full of former student affairs professionals and student leaders who have a wealth of experience under their belt.

We’re pumped to have Mike join the sales team! Mike will be at conferences like NASPA and ACPA this spring, say hello to him first on Twitter @MikeJShaheen!
