Introducing Our Campus Outreach Coordinator: A.J. Guedouar

2016 is a year of large growth for Presence. With that in mind, I’d like to introduce you to one of our newest Campus Outreach Coordinators, A.J. Guedouar!

A.J. grew up in the North End in Boston and has experiences living in Australia as well as Tampa, Florida. He’s worked at both University of Tampa and Florida Southern College in residence life positions. Before his move to Florida, he kickstarted his career in residence life as an undergrad resident assistant at Roger Williams University (RWU) in Bristol, Rhode Island. Outside of academics and RA position, A.J. spent his time as an orientation leader and president of the RWU school spirit club called Hollerin’ Hawks, named after their mascot.

When A.J.’s not helping out at Presence and traveling to student affairs conferences, you can find him playing ultimate frisbee, checking out local farmers markets, exploring the diverse restaurant culture Saint Pete has to offer, and dreaming about becoming a dog parent in the near future!

Some of his bucket list items include getting scuba certified, going to the World Cup in person, and hiking a mountain on each continent (except Antarctica). His positive spirit towards life is contagious!

The Campus Outreach Coordinator focuses on relationship-building and communication with institutions who are interested and could benefit from Check I’m Here’s complete campus engagement platform. Most often, they consult with administrators and student leaders on campuses across the country (and the world) about obstacles like assessment, retention, and how to best engage students on campus. We’re proud to say A.J. is joining a team full of former student affairs professionals and student leaders who have a wealth of experience under their belt.

We couldn’t be more excited to have A.J. with us! Say hello to him on Twitter @Tampa_Bae_J. Learn more about Presence and see if we have any open positions that might suit you – click here to take a look at our jobs page.
